Installing your carriage doors shouldn't be rocket science, which is why we offer accessories to make putting your doors in go as smoothly as possible. Choose from our wood carriage door specific accessories below:
Carpenter-friendly, Jamb Liner Stock is the economical way to prepare your opening for a set of carriage doors. It installs in 6 pieces (3 liners and 3 weatherstripped doorstops). The stock is all 3/4" thick Vertical Grain Douglas Fir, and is shipped long and loose to be field trimmed. Once installed and after flat casing is applied, the doors can be hung with any surface mount hinge (also available for arched doors).
For "prehung" carriage doors, choose the Jamb Assembly Kit. Each 1-1/2" single rabbet jamb is mortised for butt hinges and "hung" in our shop, then disassembled for shipping. The 3-piece installation makes it the perfect choice for experienced professionals and do-it-yourselfers alike. Standard jamb depths are 4-9/16" and 6-9/16".
If you are replacing an existing roll-up door, the "jambs" may still be useable. Purchase a weatherstripped doorstop kit to seal and secure your doors.
Available in 5/4x4 or 5/4x6 VG Doug Fir, Exterior casing kits will add uniformity to your custom carriage door project. Kits for square top carriage doors ship in four pieces, including a wood drip ledger.
One weatherstripped astragal come standard with each carriage door set to seal the gap at the center when closed. For a superior seal, add another astragal to the other door.
Multiple car garage openings must be divided to use swing-out carriage doors. Our VG Douglas Fir wrapped dividing posts create a seamless look to your multi-set garage. Each post includes a galvanized standoff base and anchor. Trim is shipped loose for field installation; available finished post sizes are 5"x7" and 7"x7".
Whether crowning your front door or your new authentic carriage doors, a stately transom adds height and emphasis to the important areas of your house. These handsome additions bring added natural light into dark spaces.
